Packers Complete First of Two Scheduled Intrasquad Scrimmages
May 19, 2018 – Moultrie, GA
It was a beautiful sight to see for Colquitt County Packer Football fans as they witnessed the first of two scheduled spring intrasquad scrimmages on Saturday morning at Tom White Field at Mack Tharpe Stadium in Moultrie, Georgia.
The skies were blue, the temps hot but bearable and the fans, coaches, and players were all content to be back on the home turf of their beloved stadium. One player while going through pregame drills could be overheard commenting on how the fans in attendance were “die-hard packer fans”, getting to the stadium at 9 AM on a Saturday morning in May to watch them scrimmage.
With just three spring practice sessions in 2018 under their belt the team looked in sync and gave onlookers their eagerly anticipated early peek into the 2018 squad’s potential. While a handful of healthy starters were sidelined intentionally and saw no action there was plenty of stellar demonstrations on both sides of the ball.
