Colquitt Routs Thomasville Squad 50-3, Preps For Valdosta

A damp but rambunctious crowd at Friday’s non-region game between the Colquitt County Packers and the visiting Thomasville Bulldogs witnessed the Packers decisively dismantle the Thomasville squad by a score of 50-3.

The game start time was moved from 8:00 to 8:15 due to possible area lightning delay concerns and although the game wasn’t interrupted by lightning once it began, there was plenty of thunder on the field in the way of Colquitt scoring and big plays (Packer Highlights Video Above).

Colquitt now holds a 3-0 record while beating those three opponents by a combined score of 133-24. They are now ranked #13 nationally in the MaxPreps Top 25 high school football rankings and #1 in Georgia’s highest football classification of 7A.

The Packers will host longtime rival Valdosta this Friday, September 7th, 8:00 PM for a non-region duel at Tom White Field at Mack Tharpe Stadium in Moultrie, Georgia. The Valdosta Wildcats are coming off a 50-0 non-region win over Bradwell Institute. The Wildcats record now stands at 2-1.
