Full-length Interview With Justin Rogers | Head Football Coach, Colquitt County Packers

The Colquitt County Packer Nation welcomes new head football coach Justin Rogers. Coach Rogers has worked in Harris County (2002-09), Griffin (2010-13) and Jones County. He served as offensive coordinator at Griffin, which won the Class AAAA championship in 2013 while finishing 15-0 and averaging 42.4 points per game.

Rogers’ five-year record at Jones County in middle Georgia was 45-15. Jones County had not won a playoff game since 2001 until Coach Rogers’ first season in 2014, when the Greyhounds went 10-3 and advanced to the Class AAAAA quarterfinals while scoring a school-record 481 points, twice the output of the previous season, which ended 5-5. 

At Jones County, Coach Rogers’ teams produced the top five scoring seasons in school history. They averaged 34.8 points per game overall. He did not have a single losing season at the school; his teams went 10-3, 9-2, 7-5, 11-2 and 8-3.

Coach Rogers is a native of Greenville, Ala. and is married to Melissa Cooper Rogers. They have three children- Sarah Coleman (14), Cooper (3), and Janie Kate (3 months). Coach Rogers is a Troy State University graduate.
