Colquitt County Packers Dominate Tift County 39–20

October 10, 2025 – Moultrie, GA

On a crisp Friday night in Moultrie, the Colquitt County Packers defended home turf with authority, handing the Tift County Blue Devils a 39 to 20 defeat at Tom White Field at Mack Tharpe Stadium.

From the opening whistle, the Packers’ passing attack set the tone. Senior quarterback Cohen Lawson delivered a standout performance, completing nearly 80 percent of his throws for 275 yards and three touchdowns. His top target, Antwan Lockett, hauled in 119 yards receiving and two scores, showing great chemistry with his quarterback.

Colquitt struck early in the first quarter when Lawson connected on a deep pass to Ty’mhyr Moore, followed by a successful two-point conversion to jump ahead 8–0. Although Tift responded with a short rushing touchdown, the Packers answered quickly with both a ground score and another passing touchdown before halftime.

In the second half, Colquitt continued to control the tempo. A third-quarter rushing touchdown and a field goal extended the lead before Lawson found Lockett again on a 34-yard strike early in the fourth quarter to make it 39–14. Tift added a late touchdown but missed the extra point, closing out the night’s scoring.

Tift’s offense showed flashes behind running back Jontrez Woodard, who scored twice, but the Packers’ mix of precision passing, balanced rushing, and strong defense proved too much to overcome. With the win, Colquitt improved to 6-2 on the season.
