Colquitt Now 7-1 With 34-17 Region Win Over Camden, Preps For Tift County

A 2019 34-17 region game victory and yet another 300 plus mile round trip complete. It wasn’t another Metro Atlanta trek this time, at least not yet. It was the Packers first of three scheduled region 1 7-A  match-ups with the three other teams that make up their region. This latest duel went down at Chris Gilman Stadium in Kingsland, Georgia versus the Camden County Wildcats (Game Highlights Video Above).

With Friday’s win over Camden the Packers now advance to 7-1 on the season and are 1-0 in region play. Colquitt’s defense held Camden to 17 points, all of which were scored in the first half. Colquitt senior quarterback Jaycee Harden finished 20-for-29 passing for 299 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Colquitt now preps for Tift County who is coming off a 28-0 loss to another region 1 7-A foe, the 8-0 Lowndes County Vikings. The Packers will host the Tift County Blue Devils at Tom White Field at Mack Tharpe Stadium this Friday, October 25th with a 7:30 PM scheduled kickoff.
