Packers Rout Lowndes For Region Championship, Prep For Playoffs

November 7, 2018 – Moultrie, GA

The Packers were determined to silence any questions about who might be the better team in region 1 7A this year as they erased any hope for a Lowndes victory early on at Tom White Field at Mack Tharpe Stadium this past Friday night. A 40-6 Colquitt rout over last year’s region champion was something Colquitt fans, players and coaches could feel good about considering last year’s duel was lost in double-overtime at Lowndes 51-45. Finishing the regular season at 10-0 is no easy accomplishment but it’s one Propst isn’t going to dwell that much on. It’s the next 5 games that if won will give him, the coaches and players the ultimate sense of accomplishment that they have had their eyes and hearts set on since losing the state championship by 2 points on an untimed down back on December 15th of last year.

When talking about playoffs and making it to the big game Propst says it’s a grind. What he doesn’t say but that we all know is that he’s a veteran at that grind and actually a pretty darn successful veteran of that grind. Under his leadership and direction the Packers are 32-7 in the Georgia High School Football Playoffs since 2009. Since 2009, the Packers have reached the quarterfinals each year. Well déjà vu… here we are again in the 2018 playoff run gearing up for round one.

The Packers will play host to Etowah on Friday, November 9, 2018 in Moultrie, Georgia for round 1 of the GHSA 7A State Playoffs. Kickoff is set for 7:30 PM.

Etowah vs. Colquitt Ticket Information

Monday and Tuesday: From 7:30 AM – 4 PM at the high school athletic office, reserved seat ticket holders will be allowed to purchase their current reserved seats at $10 per seat. General admission tickets also will be sold for $8.
Wednesday: From 7:30 AM – 12 PM at the high school athletic office reserved seat ticket holders will be allowed to purchase their current reserved seats at $10 per seat. General admission tickets tickets will be sold for $8.
Wednesday: All seats will go on sale to the general public from 1 – 4 PM at athletic office. Unsold reserved seat tickets will be sold for $10. General admission tickets will be sold for $8.
Thursday: From 7:30 AM – 4 PM at the athletic office unsold reserved seat tickets will be sold for $10. General admission tickets will be sold for $8.
Friday: From 7:30 AM – 12 PM at the athletic office, unsold reserved seat tickets will be sold for $10. General admission tickets will be sold for $8.
General admission tickets will be sold at the gate for $10 beginning at 6 PM Friday.
Only GHSA passes will be accepted. Teacher passes and Golden passes will not be accepted at the gates during the playoffs.
