Colquitt Over Tift 49-7, Preps For Region Championship Battle vs. Lowndes

October 27, 2019 – Moultrie, GA

At the half it was a 7-7 ballgame but the Packers came out firing on all cylinders the second half in Friday night’s bout with region opponent Tift County. The third quarter would see 35 points put on the board by the Packer offense. Packer quarterback Jaycee Harden finished with 279 yards with his hot target being Lemeke Brockington who caught three touchdown passes. (Game Highlights Video Above).

With Friday’s win over Tift the Packers now advance to 8-1 on the season and are 2-0 in region play. Colquitt’s defense held Tift to just 7 points while scoring 49 of their own. Colquitt now preps for a region showdown with a 9-0 Lowndes Vikings squad that is ranked as high as #4 nationally (MaxPreps Freeman Rankings). Lowndes is coming off a 45-13 win over Camden this past Friday night. The Packers will travel to Martin Stadium in Valdosta, Georgia to face the Vikings this Friday night November 1, with a scheduled 8:00 PM kickoff.
