Packers Over North Cobb 35-7, Prep For Round 2 Trek To Parkview

On a cool, wet November night the diehard Packer faithful in attendance at Colquitt’s first round playoff matchup versus North Cobb witnessed the Packers secure a 35-7 victory over the Warriors of Kennesaw, GA. Fans cheered in ponchos and rain gear as Colquitt only led 7-0 at the half. The second half would see a break in the rain and a 28 point second half performance by the Pack.  (Game Highlights Video Above)

Friday night’s win at Tom White Field at Mack Tharpe Stadium will send the Packers on an all too familiar trek north. On Friday, November 22, 2019 Colquitt will face the Parkview Panthers at The Big Orange Jungle Stadium in Lilburn, GA for round 2 of the 2019 GHSA 7-A State Playoffs. Parkview (10-1) is the champion from Region 7 7-A and a #1 seed. The Panthers only loss this season came at the hands of Lowndes 38-7 in the second week of the regular season. Colquitt (9-2) is the #2 seed from Region 1 7-A. Parkview defeated West Forsyth 35-14 in its first round playoff matchup.

This will be the seventh meeting between Colquitt and Parkview. Colquitt has won three and Parkview four. The teams have not met since 2012 when Colquitt won 31-15 in the quarterfinal round.
